Fun Ways to Spice Up Your Menu for Christmas

With Christmas just a few weeks away, people are out looking for fun ways to get in the holiday spirit, and what better way to help them than by having a Christmas twist to your menu? But before you stress out and completely re-do your menu, take a deep breath. Rather than introducing a ton of new products, there are a few things you can try to add a Christmas feel, without too much effort.

Add Hot Drinks

December can be pretty cold, and one of the things people love most to help them stay warm is a hot drink. Coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and apple cider are all great options that can easily slot into your beverage menu. You can serve them in cups with cute Christmas patterns or offer holiday flavors to spice up the drinks. Not only can this help people get in the holiday spirit a little more, but it can also actually draw more people to your food truck as they search for a way to warm up or enjoy time with a date.

Theme Your Specials

If you already have a rotating menu of specials, keep this going, but switch up the marketing a little bit. There’s a wealth of holiday puns available for naming food, and people eat up that kind of marketing tactic. If you don’t already have specials that you offer regularly, now’s the time to come up with one or two that you can try. If you have a new product you’ve been thinking of introducing, this could be the perfect time to introduce it as a limited-time holiday special. Not only does this give you space to experiment, but it’s also a great way to get feedback from your customers. If they really love it, you could even consider introducing it year-round later on.

Add Holiday Flavors

When people think of holiday food, the flavor is one of the things that stands out the most. Peppermint, cinnamon, eggnog, and gingerbread are classic holiday flavors you should consider using. If your food truck features food from a specific region or country, they may also have their own holiday flavors you can look into using. These flavors usually fit really well with desserts or drinks, so try introducing a holiday version that uses your favorites.

Don’t stress too much about your menu, but make sure you pay enough attention to it so you don’t miss out on the opportunity to cater to the Christmas-loving crowds. Holidays like Christmas are great marketing opportunities, especially when people are focused on spending time together. You can easily make small tweaks and turn this into a very profitable season for you and your food truck.
